Women Bound to be Active is an innovative and
dynamic program that encourages women to take charge of their lives
by making themselves a priority. The program empowers women to
maintain healthy, active lifestyles through skill development, education,
and social support.
Our goals:
- Educate women on the role of physical activity in health and
wellness through participation in a book club.
- Increase participation in physical activity through cognitive
skill development.
- Promote perceptions of greater benefits than barriers to physical
activity through hands-on activities.
- Develop a positive social environment to share thoughts and
ideas and to support one another.
- Empower women to take care of themselves.
- Improve quality of life and self-worth.
